About Tiffin Men's Basketball

Tiffin University Men's Basketball is a NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Team that competes within the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. The team is coached by Head Coach Tom Church. Under Tom Church Tiffin had a historic year during the 2022-23 season. During the 2022-2023 season Tiffin had its most conference wins in school history (12), first post season appearance since moving to Division II, most consecutive conference wins in school history, and Coach Tom Church won Great Midwest Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.

Tiffin University's Athletic Department is affiliated with the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, competing at the NCAA Division II level. Tiffin offers a variety of athletic programs to its students offering 10 NCAA men's varsity sports and 11 NCAA women's varsity sports. Along with this Tiffin also offers 1 co-ed esports team and 7 different club sports for its students to choose from.

Tiffin Men's Basketball has the goal of providing a great a great education to its players, while also striving to create a team culture that aims for player development and success on the court. Below is a list of the core values of Tiffin Basketball. These values are listed inside the team locker room. Before every season Head Coach Tom Church requires everyone to sign the board under the values signifying that they are committed as a team to following these values.

Head Coach Tom Church
Tom Church is the Head Coach of the Tiffin Men's Basketball program currently in his sixth season as head coach at Tiffin and 11th season as a head coach in college basketball. Coach Church just recently had his most successful season at Tiffin University coaching the team in the 2022-23 season to their first winning season (15-14) since 2011, the most conference wins in school history (12), most consecutive conference wins in school history (6), leading the team to their first post season appearance since moving to Division II, and earning GMAC Coach of the Year.
Prior to Tiffin Coach Church served as the head coach at Indiana Kokomo and Saint Joseph College. Prior to being a head coach he was an assistant coach at Florida Southern and Saint Joseph College. He graduated from Ashland University in 2003 where he was a team captain for the basketball team his senior year.
